City of Alexandria Hosts Holiday Tree Lighting
Alexandria City Hall lit up with holiday spirit over the weekend as Santa, Mrs. Claus, and the elves helped City officials ring in the season with a tree-lighting celebration on Saturday, November 18.
Mayor Justin Wilson welcomed the guest of honor from the North Pole, who assured all the children of Alexandria that they had made the “Nice List.”
"To all the many folks who give back to nonprofit organizations who are in need of your contributions and your volunteerism during this holiday season, you are all who make our community an incredible place to be, not just during the holiday season, but year-round,” Mayor Wilson said.
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer was not in attendance as he was resting at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport during the festivities.
