City of Alexandria Experiencing Numerous Power Outages and Road Closures Due to High Winds
The City of Alexandria is experiencing power outages and road closures due to high winds throughout the area. A wind advisory remains in place until 10 p.m. tonight, with wind gusts of 45 to 60 mph expected.
Residents should prepare for the onset of these strong to damaging winds. Remain in the lower levels of your home and avoid windows. Watch for falling debris and tree limbs. Use caution if you must drive.
