The City of Alexandria is experiencing power outages and road closures due to high winds throughout the area. A wind advisory remains in place until 10 p.m. tonight, with wind gusts of 45 to 60 mph expected.

Residents should prepare for the onset of these strong to damaging winds. Remain in the lower levels of your home and avoid windows. Watch for falling debris and tree limbs. Use caution if you must drive.

Reporting Power Outages 

Should you need to report power outages, please click the "Report/Check Outages" button on the Dominion Energy website outage map or call Dominion Energy customer service at 866.366.4357. 

If you lose power, there are three easy ways to report your outage and track your restoration time:

To report debris, down traffic signals, or other non-emergency items in the City, please call 703.746.4444. Only call 911 in case of an emergency.
