The Alexandria Police Department with the assistance of the City of Alexandria's Commonwealth's Attorney Office made an arrest in the 800 W Glebe Road shooting incident that occurred on Monday, July 24, 2023, at approximately 11:24 p.m. 

APD has arrested Rae’Qwan McClinnahan, 26, non-city resident. McClinnahan is charged with 2nd-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a murder. McClinnahan is currently being held without bond. 

This incident was the fifth homicide in Alexandria this year.
