Nuisance Abatement Hotline
The City of Alexandria’s Customer Connection Center 311 or 703.746.4311 is a 24-hour phone number for residents and businesses seeking assistance with public nuisance issues involving violations of City Codes. The caller should state the nature of the problem and provide his or her name and telephone number. If the problem is urgent in nature, a city agency will immediately dispatch personnel to investigate. If not, action will be taken no later than the next business day. During emergencies, calls may be answered electronically. Callers will be advised of actions taken.
Examples of issues that the hotline is designed to handle:
- Accumulation of trash
- Poorly maintained properties
- Overcrowding of apartments
- Rodent problems
