Mission Statement
The purpose of the Health and Safety Committee is for City serving agencies to collaborate and use data to problem-solve with members of City Council on prevention and intervention strategies that impact the overall health and safety of the community.
Vision Statement
All Alexandrians are healthy and safe.
The Health and Safety Coordinating Committee is comprised of two Council members, a representative of the City Manager's Office, Department of Community and Human Services, Code Administration, Police Department, Sheriff's Office, Commonwealth's Attorney, Alexandria Public Schools, and Alexandria Redevelopment and Housing Authority.
All meetings will be held in the Council Workroom.
