Alexandria Police Officer Involved in Criminal Pursuit Served Summons for Reckless Driving
ALEXANDRIA, VA – On Saturday, June 14, 2025, at approximately 10:00 a.m., an Alexandria Police officer was involved in a vehicle collision at the intersection of Franklin and South Patrick Streets while actively pursuing a stolen vehicle.
Both the officer and the civilian driver sustained minor injuries and were transported to a local hospital. No other injuries were reported.
Officer Damon Frazier has been served a summons for reckless driving, a Class 1 misdemeanor, following a determination by the Alexandria Commonwealth Attorney. Officer Frazier, who joined the department on October 30, 2023, remains on duty pending the outcome of an administrative review.
The Alexandria Police Department takes officer conduct and accountability seriously. All officers are required to complete the Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC) training, a specialized program designed to ensure safe and responsible driving practices during emergency and pursuit situations.
