Alexandria, Va. – The Alexandria Police Department (APD) is investigating the death of a man found outside of Inova Alexandria Hospital. 

APD received no other calls for service that appear to be related to this incident. APD continues to investigate this incident and the circumstances surrounding it. 

At approximately 3:03 a.m. APD officers responded to the Inova Alexandria Hospital, 4320 Seminary Road, for the report of a man lying on the ground outside an entrance. The adult male was found suffering gunshot wounds. Although hospital staff performed lifesaving measures, the man succumbed to his injuries.  

The Office of the Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death. 

Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in locating the vehicle {photo attached}, which is believed to be involved. The vehicle is a 2008, dark gray, 4-door, Mercedes Benz C class. The Virginia tag on the vehicle is RX22K. If the vehicle is seen, please call 9-11 and notify your local police department.
