The Alexandria Police Department Reaffirms Commitment To Safety as School Year Ends
For Immediate Release: June 1, 2023
ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- At the Alexandria Police Department, our top priority is the safety and well-being of our community. We want to update you on the steps we are taking to enhance public safety and our commitment to working with you.
We are implementing an end-of-school-year safety plan around the City with a focus on the Bradlee Shopping Center. This plan includes proactive measures such as increasing our presence in areas of concern and working closely with our business partners, neighborhood associations, community groups, and schools to leverage resources for a safer community.
Safety is a shared responsibility, and we greatly value the continued community’s input and involvement. We encourage you to report any suspicious activity. Together, we can create a safer and stronger community.
