APD Announces Temporary Road Closures for the Weekend of September 16-18th.
ALEXANDRIA, VA. – There will be temporary road closures in Alexandria for the 20th Annual Alexandria Old Town Art Festival.
The closures are scheduled to begin on Friday, September 16, 2022, at 10:00 p.m. and end on Sunday, September 18, 2022, at 9:00 p.m. There will also be reserved, no parking, and road closures signs posted.
The closures will be on John Carlyle Street between Duke Street and Emerson Avenue, to include no crossover traffic on Jamieson and Ballenger Avenues while the event is taking place.
The public can expect an increased police presence in the area, and drivers are asked to remain alert. Please note there is a possibility of other road closures that are not mentioned which would take place as an increased safety measure.
Illegally parked vehicles may be ticketed or towed. If you believe your vehicle was towed from a public street, please call our Department of Emergency & Customer Communications at 703.746.4444.
