Alexandrians Encouraged to “Spring2ACTion” on April 26

For Immediate Release: April 21, 2023

The 13th Annual Spring2ACTion day of giving is scheduled for Wednesday, April 26. Spring2ACTion is a 24-hour online event that connects donors with Alexandria nonprofits and charitable causes and encourages everyone to “Spring2ACTion.” This virtual fundraising effort, presented by ACT for Alexandria, connects donors with causes they are passionate about and collaborates with nonprofits to optimize resources and impact. Last year, 7,700 donors gave $2.65M to 172 nonprofits serving Alexandria.

Spring2ACTion is a time to support the organizations that serve the Alexandria community in the best of times—and in challenging times—to help meet the critical needs of those who are most vulnerable. Donations made through Spring2ACTion’s day of giving event can help participating Alexandria nonprofits provide services such as food, shelter, animal rescue, tutoring, support for the arts and more.

Help keep Alexandria a strong and vibrant community for all by donating on the communitywide day of giving on April 26 or participate in early giving: April 12 through April 25.

Visit spring2action.org to learn more about the Spring2ACTion event and the participating organizations.
