Project Description
The City of Alexandria is pursuing solutions to reports of flooding in the Nethergate Townhome community after intense rainfall events. The project area is bound by Bashford Lane to the north, Second Street to the south, Portner Road to the west and West Abingdon Drive to the east. As part of this project, the design team will analyze hydraulic capacity of the existing storm sewer, and develop alternatives to mitigate flooding.

Planning
The Planning phase will include a hydraulic analysis of the existing conditions storm sewer system and development of design alternatives to alleviate flooding. The City is also collecting field information to develop an approved, constructible design alternative. Upon selection of approved alternative, City will proceed to formal design stage.
