Board Elections: 

The City of Alexandria Firefighter’s and Police Officer’s Pension Board is holding an election for one Firefighter participant representative and one Police Officer participant representative. For more information click here.

Ad Hoc Retirement Benefit Advisory Group

City Council adopted Resolution 2432 on January 25, 2011, to establish the Ad Hoc Retirement Benefit Advisory Group. This group 1) looked at the need for any future changes to defined benefit pension plans created under the authority of City Council; 2) examined the current financial status of the City's pension funds; and 3) advised the City manager, the City Council Pension and Compensation Subcommittee, and City Council on any options that should be considered.
