2022 Alexandria Teen Pregnancy Rate
The teen pregnancy rate in the City of Alexandria increased 31.9% from 9.4 pregnancies for every 1,000 girls ages 10-19 in 2021 to 12.4 in 2022. The Alexandria Campaign on Adolescent Pregnancy continues its unwavering dedication to reduce teen pregnancy through evidence-based approaches and strong alliances between City agencies and community partners. The downward trend in teen pregnancy rates since 2010 has been influenced by the daily efforts of ACAP in partnership with Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS), the Alexandria Health Department (AHD), the Teen Wellness Center (TWC), the Department of Community and Human Services (DCHS), Alexandria Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities, Alexandria Police Department, Alexandria Sexual Assault Center, Capital Youth Empowerment Program, the Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition of Alexandria, Partnership for Healthier Alexandria, Community Lodgings, Healthy Families and Neighborhood Health.
