Project Description
The Old Town Lateral Rehabilitation project provides for inspection and rehabilitation of City-owned sanitary laterals in the Old Town/ Combined Sewer System area. The work is being done as part of the City's Combined Sewer Assessment and Rehabilitation program to preserve the integrity and extend the useful life of the sewer system.
The project consists of three phases, with the planning/ inspection phase to be completed by summer 2024. The design and construction phases are anticipated to begin early 2025 and early 2026, respectively.

Funding Breakdown
This project is funded using Sanitary Sewer enterprise Fund Revenues and is programmed in the City's Capital Improvement Program.

Planning Phase
Planning Overview
- Field Inspection/ Condition Assessment - Inspected City-owned sanitary laterals using CCTV camera per National Association of Sewer Service Companies (NASSCO) guidelines to document structural and operation and maintenance (O&M) conditions of each lateral.
- Rehabilitation Recommendation - Reviewed inspection reports and photos to determine sanitary laterals requiring rehabilitation and proper rehabilitation technology.
- Cost Estimate - A planning level cost estimate was performed for design and construction services.
Planning Public Outreach
Public notification (project sign and door hanger) of the inspection work was conducted throughout the planning phase.
