On June 26, City Council passed a resolution establishing the City Council – AlexRenew Board Project Review Workgroup. The workgroup was established to facilitate partnership between the City and AlexRenew as they work to remediate Alexandria's four combined sewer outfalls by July 1, 2025.
The workgroup includes two members of City Council, appointed by the Mayor, and two members of the AlexRenew Board.
The workgroup will review and guide the plans, design, implementation, costs and financing of the CSO Construction Project with the intent of minimizing community impacts and maximizing community benefits.
Upcoming Meetings
The next City Council/AlexRenew Board CSO Workgroup meeting will be held on Wednesday November 20, 2024 from 5-7pm at AlexRenew, 6th floor, 1800 Limerick Street.
