FACILITY HISTORY

Patrick Henry was an American attorney, planter, and politician who became known as an orator during the movement for independence in Virginia. A Founding Father, he served as the first and sixth post-colonial Governor of Virginia from 1776 to 1779 and from 1784 to 1786.

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month With Us!

Celebrate culture, community, and creativity with us at Patrick Henry Recreation Center from September 15 to October 15 for our Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration! This exciting, month-long event will highlight the vibrant traditions, music, food, and art of Hispanic cultures.

We are seeking vendors to participate during the final celebration on Saturday, October 11, from 2-7 p.m. at Patrick Henry. The application deadline is Friday, August 1.

We’re currently looking for local vendors to join the celebration—whether you offer delicious eats, handmade crafts, cultural displays, or unique services, we’d love to have you be part of this festive experience.

Interested in becoming a vendor? Submit your application by August 1.

Vendor Process

  • Friday, August 1: Vendor submits application through online City portal no later than 11:59 p.m.
  • Friday, August 22: Vendors are notified of selection.
  • Friday, September 5: Selected vendors submit registration payment ($50).
  • Saturday, October 11, 2-7 p.m.: Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration

$6/Res., $7/Non-Res.

RULES
All visits start at the top of each hour, latest entry allowed up to 10 min. after the hour.
May close for party rentals.
Socks required.
Chaperones are free.
No food or drink.
Changing diapers not permitted.
