2025 National Recovery Month
Since 1989, National Recovery Month has been a nationwide observance highlighting the benefits of prevention, treatment, and recovery from substance use disorders. Millions of people across the country now identify as being in recovery, demonstrating that treatment is effective and that people can and do recover.
This September, the City of Alexandria’s Department of Community and Human Services (DCHS) will host a series of events to honor and celebrate recovery in our community.
