The City of Alexandria invites members of the public, business owners, property owners, and landscapers to attend a community meeting on the upcoming gas-powered leaf blower ban next Tuesday, July 21 from 7-8 p.m. and learn more about the ordinance before it takes effect in November 2026.   

At the meeting, City staff will present information about the ban, including benefits, enforcement policies, options for alternatives to gas-powered machines, and how to dispose of prohibited equipment.  

Staff will also be available to answer questions from the community after the presentation. 

Community members are able to attend the meeting in one of two ways:
