City of Alexandria to Host Community Meeting for Mount Vernon Trail Improvements at East Abingdon Drive Project

The City of Alexandria invites community members to attend a virtual pre-construction meeting on Tuesday, July 15, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. for the sidewalk widening project planned for East Abingdon Drive, north of Slater’s Lane. Construction is scheduled to begin on August 4, weather permitting.

The meeting will include a presentation on the construction plans, work hours, parking restrictions, and lane closures. Time will also be provided for public questions.
