City of Alexandria to Host Open Houses on Sanitary Sewer Construction Projects - January 6 & January 9
The City of Alexandria will host two pre-construction open houses to discuss upcoming sanitary sewer construction projects. Each event will focus on different areas within the affected neighborhoods of Old Town, Del Ray and Rosemont. City staff will provide an overview of the project, explain plans to mitigate construction-related impacts, and answer questions about what residents can expect during construction at each location.
300-400 Block North Alfred Street Combined Sewer Upsizing Project
The first open house will focus on sanitary sewer construction in the 300 and 400 blocks of North Alfred Street in Old Town and will take place on Monday, January 6 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Sister Cities Conference Room at City Hall, 301 King Street. Attendees should use the Cameron Street entrance to access the building.

Sanitary Sewer Capacity Upsizing Project No. 1
The second open house will focus on sanitary sewer construction at four locations in the Rosemont and Del Ray neighborhoods: the Unit and 100 blocks of East Maple Street, the 200 and 300 blocks of East Oak Street, the 500 block of East Alexandria Avenue, and the 300 block of Ashby Street. This event will take place on Thursday, January 9, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Sister Cities Conference Room at City Hall, 301 King Street. Attendees should use the Cameron Street entrance to access the building.
