Think you can spot a mystery plant? Put your plant knowledge to the test with the ALX Herbarium Hunt, beginning September 1! 

Follow the Department of Recreation, Parks & Cultural Activities (RPCA) on Instagram or Facebook for clues to mystery plants growing in City of Alexandria parks. Search the parks, snap a photo, identify the plant, and share your findings using #RPCAHerbariumHunt for a chance to win a prize!

Stumped? Follow the clues on social media and search the Herbarium Digital Archive using the codes provided with each mystery. You can also explore Alexandria’s natural resources and parks at alexandriava.gov/parks/natural-resources.
