Duke Street Land Use Plan Community Poll Extended Until August 18!
On June 9, the City launched an 18-month planning process for the Duke Street Corridor from Alexandria Union Station to Van Dorn Street at the future Landmark/West End development. The planning process will engage the community to update the comprehensive land use plan for the area’s long-term future and explore topics such as housing affordability, land use, mobility, pedestrian and cyclist safety and accessibility, and connecting existing and future open spaces, among others.
Community Poll – Extended!
Thank you to the over 800 participants who have participated in the poll already. Share your thoughts and ideas on the future of the Duke Street Corridor by Monday, August 18! You can access the poll below:
Pop-ups
We have one upcoming pop-up this week:
- Saturday, August 2, ALDI, 4580 Duke Street from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
We are actively scheduling additional pop-ups along the corridor to engage with community members and collect additional feedback. Anyone who wishes to share input is encouraged to attend a pop-up. More information regarding future pop-ups and other engagement opportunities will be posted on the project website, communicated through eNews and WhatsApp, and shared with community groups.
