Alexandria West Planning Project Update


The Alexandria West planning process is still underway! Many thanks to everyone who has participated so far. Please check out our newest project update video which highlights the following:

  • January Work Sessions with Planning Commission and City Council: Staff provided an update on the planning process and received feedback on the draft framework elements of the Plan. Recordings can be found here (Planning Commission) and here (City Council).
  • The Draft Transportation Study Future Conditions Analysis, summarizing the data presented in November 2023, is posted to the project webpage.
  • Save the Date for the next community meeting:
    • March 4, 7 p.m.: Meeting to present the draft Plan recommendations. This will be a virtual meeting, held via Zoom.
  • Boards and Commissions Updates: Staff will provide briefings on the Draft AlexWest Plan to boards and commissions in March and April.

Details on all future engagement opportunities will be communicated through eNews and WhatsApp, and shared with community groups, as well as posted on the project webpage, where you can also find all Plan background information, materials, and a project schedule.
