On Friday, September 12, 2025, at 7:30 p.m., catch Jocelyn Pettit & Ellen Gira, the 2024 Canadian Folk Music Award winners for Traditional Album of the Year. This dynamic fiddle and cello duo fuse traditional and contemporary styles into a soulful performance, weaving lively tunes and step-dancing with music from Scotland, Ireland, North America, and Scandinavia. Tickets: $25/$15 youth.

Then, on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 7:30 p.m., don’t miss the legendary Critton Hollow String Band, performing American folk music with fiddle, hammer dulcimer, banjo, and guitar. Since 1975, they have delighted audiences worldwide with spirited ballads, toe-tapping instrumentals, and rich three-part harmonies. Tickets: $28/$10 youth.

Both concerts take place at The Lyceum, 201 S. Washington St., Alexandria, VA. Cash/credit bar available.
