A Magical Apothecary Tour Brings Harry Potter-Inspired Fun to Historic Alexandria

Step into the magical world of potions and plants at the Stabler-Leadbeater Apothecary Museum’s special tour, A Magical Apothecary, on Sunday, August 10, 2025, from 11 a.m. to noon. Tickets are available now at shop.alexandriava.gov/Events.aspx.

Harry Potter Tour

Inspired by the wizarding world of Harry Potter, this family-friendly experience explores the real 19th-century science behind the enchanting potions and herbology taught at Hogwarts. Discover the botanical wonders of this historic apothecary and create your very own magical potion to take home!

This specialty tour is recommended for ages 8 and up. All children must be accompanied by a ticketed adult. Admission is $15 per person, with a discounted rate of $12 for Historic Alexandria members.

The event will take place at the Stabler-Leadbeater Apothecary Museum, located at 105–107 S. Fairfax Street, Alexandria, VA 22314.
