"Sew and Tell: A Trunk Show” Presented by the Uhuru Quilters Guild at the Alexandria Black History Museum
Celebrate Women’s History Month with “Sew and Tell: A Trunk Show,” presented by the Uhuru Quilters Guild and hosted by the African American History division of the Office of Historic Alexandria on Saturday, March 22, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Alexandria Black History Museum, 902 Wythe Street, Alexandria, VA.

Join us for an engaging and interactive program showcasing the intricate craftsmanship of African American quilters. This event will highlight the intricate art of quilting. Members of the Uhuru Quilters Guild will showcase some of their most creative pieces, sharing their artistic process and the innovative approaches they use to create these masterpieces. The Uhuru Quilters Guild is an African American Quilting guild based in Prince George’s County.
The event is included with museum admission: free for City of Alexandria residents and $3 per person for non-residents.
