The City of Alexandria has mailed the bills for the second half of 2026 Real Estate tax, Refuse fee, and Stormwater Utility fee to all property owners and/or mortgage companies.

Second half Real Estate tax and fee payments are due on Monday, November 16. All Real Estate taxes and fees not paid or postmarked by November 16 will be charged a late payment penalty and interest.

The calendar year 2026 Real Estate tax rate is $1.135 per $100 of assessed value. The second half Refuse fee is $250 per can, which is half of the $500 annual Refuse rate for both FY 2026 and FY 2027. The second half Stormwater Utility fee is $178.70 per Equivalent Residential Unit (ERU), which is half of the $357.40 annual fee for FY 2027.
