Stoddard is an experienced city planner with a passion for helping communities navigate complex challenges. He views planning as a collaborative process – one that blends professional expertise with residents' lived experiences to deliver lasting, meaningful results.
“Planning and Zoning plays a vital role in shaping Alexandria’s future while preserving the qualities that make our city unique. This work touches every resident, from how we grow and develop to how we protect our historic character and neighborhoods,” said City Manager James Parajon. “Paul brings both deep experience and a collaborative approach to this important role, and I am confident his leadership will help us balance today’s needs with a shared vision for a resilient and thriving Alexandria.”
