Alexandrians Advised that Arlington County Boil Water Advisory Does Not Affect City of Alexandria Water

The City of Alexandria is advising individuals that boil water advisory texts from Arlington County do not apply to water in the City of Alexandria.  

Water sourced in the City of Alexandria is not affected and is safe for drinking and cooking.  

On Friday, June 7, 2024, people in Alexandria near Arlington County may have received a text with details about a boil water advisory. This boil water advisory applies for water in parts of Arlington County only. The advisory is expected to continue through Sunday, June 9.  

If you received a text and do not know if your address is within the City of Alexandria, you can check the City map, call 703.746.4444, or utilize @AlexandriaVA311 via DM to report non-emergency concerns.
