BUDGET

City Manager James Parajon will present the City of Alexandria’s Fiscal Year 2025 (FY2025) Proposed Budget to City Council on Tuesday, February 27, at 7 p.m. at City Hall, Council Chambers (301 King St.). The event will also be streamed on the City’s website.

Additionally, Parajon will host both an in-person and virtual Public Presentation of the FY 2025 Proposed Budget  on Thursday, February 29, at 7 p.m. at Charles E. Beatley, Jr. Central Library (5005 Duke St.)  This event will provide residents the opportunity to receive an overview of the proposal, ask questions, and gain insight into the City of Alexandria’s budget process.

If you are unable to attend either presentation, there are many opportunities to engage and provide input.

To provide feedback about the budget, attend one of the public hearings below:

  • Monday, March 11: City Council Public Hearing: FY2025 Budget
  • Saturday, March 16: City Council Public Hearing: FY 2025 Budget
  • Saturday, April 13: City Council Public Hearing Meeting
  • Wednesday, April 24: FY 2025 Budget: Tax Rate Public Hearing

We also invite you to share your thoughts on the budget by using the City's online Budget Input Form. Your comments will be periodically compiled, categorized and reviewed by the City Manager and City Council, and will also be made available on the City's website for public viewing.
