Potomac Yard Entertainment District Team Discusses Small Business and Economic Opportunities
A panel of Potomac Yard Entertainment District (PYED) subject-matter experts spoke on opportunities for small businesses and workers during a public listening session hosted by the City of Alexandria on Thursday, February 8.
Representatives from Monumental Sports & Entertainment, JBG Smith, Clark Construction, the Alexandria Economic Development Partnership, and the City shared projections and responded to listener questions. The presenters covered topics including:
- The availability, timeline, and type of full- and part-time jobs, internships, and apprenticeships for locals.
- How each of the involved partners plans to provide opportunities for small and local businesses.
- Parking and transportation arrangements for construction workers and event staff.
- Strategies for community engagement and providing timely project updates.
