A panel of Potomac Yard Entertainment District (PYED) subject-matter experts spoke on opportunities for small businesses and workers during a public listening session hosted by the City of Alexandria on Thursday, February 8.

Representatives from Monumental Sports & Entertainment, JBG Smith, Clark Construction, the Alexandria Economic Development Partnership, and the City shared projections and responded to listener questions. The presenters covered topics including:

  1. The availability, timeline, and type of full- and part-time jobs, internships, and apprenticeships for locals.
  2. How each of the involved partners plans to provide opportunities for small and local businesses.
  3. Parking and transportation arrangements for construction workers and event staff.
  4. Strategies for community engagement and providing timely project updates.
