Celebrate Virginia’s Heroes at the City of Alexandria’s 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony
The City of Alexandria invites the public to attend a remembrance ceremony in front of City Hall on Monday, September 11. The event will pay tribute to all those who answered the call to service on that date in 2001 and acknowledge the impact that morning’s events had on the lives of many.
Scheduled speakers for the ceremony include Mayor Justin Wilson as well as Virginia Congressman Don Beyer, Police Chief Don Hayes, Sheriff Sean Casey, and Asst. Fire Chief Andrew Duke. Police Lt. Liz Magyar will serve as the Master of Ceremonies, with a presentation by our City’s Joint Public Safety Honor Guard.
