The Department of Human Resources is excited to host a Career Development Workshop and Hiring Fair. These free-of-charge events are an opportunity for people looking for a new or better career on a diverse team serving our community.
The Career Development Workshop is scheduled for Monday, February 27th, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Lee Center, 1108 Jefferson St., Alexandria, VA. This program will provide job seekers with coaching on interviewing skills, resume reviewing & critiquing and strategies for creating your next opportunity after a lay-off.
After candidates are prepared, the City of Alexandria will host a Hiring Fair on Tuesday, February 28th, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., also at the Lee Center. Departments represented include the Department of Community and Human Services; Finance Department: Department of Transportation & Environmental Services; Recreation, Parks & Cultural Activities; and Information Technology Services.
Vacancies from departments across the City will also be shared on-site.
