Alexandria Health Department to Host Community-Wide World AIDS Day Event
Alexandria Health Department (AHD) invites the community to join the World AIDS Day Exhibit and Commemoration on Friday, December 1, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Redella S. “Del” Pepper Community Resource Center. The event is free for all to attend.
The event exhibit will feature artwork submitted by local individuals and organizations commemorating those who have been affected by acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). Attendees can view the art pieces and discuss ongoing efforts to prevent human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and AIDS in Alexandria. Light refreshments will be provided.
At 4:30 p.m., Mayor Justin Wilson will join attendees to give a proclamation on World AIDS Day.
Free and Confidential HIV Testing
