Community Meeting - July 20, 2026

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Taylor Run Infrastructure Stabilization public meeting that took place on July 20, 2026. We sincerely appreciate you taking the time to learn about the project, ask thoughtful questions, and continue to be part of the conversation as the design moves forward.

As we continue refining the project, we encourage you to share your thoughts through the community feedback form. To help us gather the most meaningful input, we ask that comments focus on the project elements currently being designed as part of this targeted, minimal intervention approach. This design is guided by only those Consensus Building Group (CBG) recommendations that achieved full consensus and were directed by City Council to inform the continued design of the project.

The Taylor Run Infrastructure Stabilization Project focuses on protecting vulnerable infrastructure and reducing erosion along sections of Taylor Run through a targeted, minimal intervention approach. Based on the recommendations of the community stakeholder group that were adopted by the City Council, in lieu of the original stream restoration project, the City is pursuing strategic stabilization work to stabilize critical storm and sanitary sewer infrastructure for specific areas of concern discussed through community input. 

Project Goals:

• Protect critical, at-risk infrastructure (e.g. sewer pipes, manholes, outfalls, and trails).
• Stabilize streambanks and reduce erosion near infrastructure assets.
• Preserve and protect mature trees and wetlands.
• Minimize the limits of disturbance, vegetation removal, and construction impacts.

Recommendations approved by City Council: Taylor Run CBG Recommendations

This focused stabilization approach was developed in collaboration with community stakeholders through the Stream Health Improvement Community Collaboration. This design follows the City Council approved recommendations developed with the Consensus Building Group.  The project team is now refining the proposed solutions and identifying construction needs.
