The Fiscal Management Unit is committed to providing timely, accurate, clear and complete information and support to the Alexandria Police Department.  This Unit will be recognized as proactive, result-driven partners with the police department that offer operational and strategic financial management.  The Fiscal Management Unit works with the Chief, Captains and Civilian Commanders to develop and manage the budget of the Police Department. Staff oversees and evaluates the funding demands within the agency and ensures that purchasing policies are strictly adhered to and consistent with the department’s mission.
