The City’s Adult Day Services Center Holds Helping Hearts Dance Events: Next Event January 25
THE CITY’S ADULT DAY SERVICES CENTER HOLDS HELPING HEARTS DANCE EVENTS: NEXT EVENT JANUARY 25
December 7, 2023: The City of Alexandria’s Adult Day Services Center held a Helping Hearts Dance event on October 26, 2023. The event took place at the Lee Center Kauffman Auditorium on 1108 Jefferson Street.
Helping Hearts Dance is a group of technically trained dancers who include a variety of dance styles in their performances such as contemporary, modern, musical theater, and tap. Their mission is to inspire lifelong movement and foster a love of the arts through programs featuring innovative, uplifting choreography as well as to provide movement activities for seniors in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area.
The next Helping Hearts Dance event will take place on Thursday, January 25, 2024, 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. Senior centers, older adults, caregivers, and community members are invited to experience contemporary, modern, musical theater, and tap performances that inspire lifelong movement and foster a love of the arts as well as provide activities for seniors in the DMV. The Adult Day Services Center is a cost-effective program designed to offer services to seniors 55 years and older who may need assistance and who may not want or cannot stay at home alone during the day. The Center provides caregivers a needed break and the comfort of knowing that their loved one will be spending the day with new friends and participating in enjoyable activities.
