WDC Career Center Reopens to Public, Two-Hour Slots Available by Appointment
A DCHS CONNECT NEWS HIGHLIGHT
August 13, 2021--The Workforce Development Center is increasing Career Center capacity to the general public through two-hour appointments to conduct self-directed education and job search activities.
Residents must register in advance for the appointment and pass the COVID – 19 screening; unscheduled visits to the center and computer lab are not permitted at this time. Those who do not pass the screening questions will be asked to reschedule their appointment.
Due to physical distancing guidelines, limited job search assistance is available in-person. Residents needing assistance with job searches or resume review can email wdc@alexandriava,gov or call 703.746.5940 and a representative will reach out.
Residents can schedule one appointment per day. Access to the computer lab and phone bank is available during the scheduled time. All users must wear masks at all times and maintain six feet of physical distancing.
Reserve appointments by calling 703.746.5990 or emailing wdc@alexandriava.gov. Questions and concerns can be directed at wdc@alexandriava.gov. For reasonable disability accommodations, contact Maurice Tomdio at maurice.tomdio@alexandriava.gov or 571.384.5244.
