Yon Lambert is the Deputy City Manager for the City of Alexandria responsible for public safety, Code Administration and General Services. Since 2014, Yon has been the Director of the Department of Transportation & Environmental Services (T&ES) – a department of 255 staff and an annual operating budget of $94 million. Yon joined the City in 2006. He holds a Master of Public Administration from Virginia Tech and is an alumnus of post-graduate programs at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government and the University of Virginia. Yon lives in Del Ray with his wife and two daughters who attended Alexandria public schools. Yon enjoys cycling and trail running in his spare time.
