CONSTRUCTION IMPACTS
Library Access
-
Construction staff coordinates with Library staff daily to ensure programs are not affected by the construction activity.
-
All interior spaces are protected by plywood boxes to keep out the weather, insects, and any construction debris while the windows are replaced and caulked. The plywood boxes are then removed once the caulk dries.
Parking
- Parking impacts are minimal.
- The rear portion of the main parking lot is reserved for materials storage and contractor parking.
Community Engagement
- Alexandria Library staff provide monthly updates to the Friends of Beatley Central Library and the Alexandria Library board.
- Construction posters are visible on-site with current construction contact information.
