Question: Is it possible to fund some of the ACPS associated line items, like the Middle School Sports program or the Link Club Afterschool Program, without them being part of the ACPS transfer? Councilman Chapman
Response:
City Council cannot eliminate individual line items entirely from the ACPS budget. If City Council would like to fund either of these items, it would need to be part of the ACPS transfer since the expenditures would be incurred by ACPS. If City Council has questions or concerns about them, it could temporarily place the funding in a City Council contingency until those concerns have been addressed.
