The proposed budget for the City Marina in FY 2023 is $319,872 in expenditures and $407,400 in revenue. There are no docking opportunities in the near term (10 years) based on current agreements and therefore staff do not plan to solicit proposals for additional licensed vessels. However, the City will continue to accept transient docking for taxis, ferries, or charters, which is factored into the City Marina’s revenue budget. The City Marina commercial docks are currently licensed to City Cruises which have exclusive use per contract agreement. The Tall Ship Providence has a license agreement for permanent docking at the G/H pier. RPCA’s marina operation also participates with the City’s Department of Project Implementation (DPI) in terms of waterfront development. If any additional opportunities arise, staff will follow up.
