Masonic Lodge Honors Sheriff Casey with Community Builder Award
Alexandria-Washington Lodge #22 recently honored Sheriff Sean Casey with its Community Builder Award for his “tireless dedication and leadership in service and protection of our neighbors throughout Alexandria.”
Worshipful Master Nelo Allen Hamilton, Jr. and Past Worshipful Master (1976) James Berkley Stone presented Sheriff Casey with a plaque during the October 10 ceremony at the George Washington Masonic Memorial. Mr. Hamilton explained that the award is “designed to show our appreciation for outstanding community-oriented achievements of non-Masons who reside and work in our cities and towns.”
In presenting the award, Mr. Hamilton noted several of Sheriff Casey’s achievements, including expanding public safety and crime prevention services, strengthening partnerships with faith-based and community organizations, and launching employee wellness initiatives.
Sheriff Casey appreciates this honor and offers his congratulations to Kate Marsh who also received a Community Builder Award and Jakob Zilinski who received the Charles A. Callahan Award.
