January is National Mentoring Month!
January is National Mentoring Month, and the Alexandria Mentorship Partnership (AMP) is seeking mentors! Mentoring helps children build a stronger sense of belonging and reduces risks such as crime, substance abuse, teen pregnancy, poor school performance, and gang involvement.
The Department of Recreation, Parks, and Cultural Activities (RPCA) is hosting unique opportunities through AMP this month. Join the Open House on Thursday, January 30, from 5–7:30 p.m. at the Campagna Center (418 S. Washington Street) for interactive games, food, and the chance to become a mentor. Click here to register.
