Alexandria Residents Express High Satisfaction with City Services
The City of Alexandria recently released the results of a comprehensive resident satisfaction survey conducted by ETC Institute. The survey, administered from April to June 2023, aimed to gauge residents’ perceptions of various city services and overall quality of life.
The survey was designed to capture the perceptions of the entire city with a random, representative sample. These randomly selected residents from across the city provided valuable feedback on a wide range of topics, including transportation, public safety, economic opportunity, and city government services. The results indicate that Alexandria residents are generally satisfied with the City’s performance, particularly in areas such as customer service, library services, and trash collection.
Key findings from the survey include:
- High Satisfaction with City Services: Residents expressed strong satisfaction with the overall quality of city services, rating them significantly higher than national averages.
- Positive Perception of Alexandria as a Place to Live: Respondents viewed Alexandria as a desirable place to live, highlighting its quality of life.
- Areas for Improvement: While overall satisfaction is high, the survey identified specific areas where the City can focus on improvement, such as affordable housing, stormwater management, and electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
The City of Alexandria is committed to using the insights gained from this survey to inform future decisions and enhance the quality of life for all residents. By addressing areas for improvement and building upon existing strengths, the City aims to maintain its position as a thriving and desirable community.
