City of Alexandria to Survey Residents on City Services and Performance
The City of Alexandria is conducting a resident survey in its ongoing effort to make data-driven decisions that reflect the needs of our constituents.
What Residents Can Expect
A randomly selected sample of residents will receive mailings requesting their feedback on a variety of City services. The City will use those responses to inform future decisions. Any information that could be used to identify individual survey responses or respondents will remain confidential. Results will be presented to the public in totality.
The City has previously used similar surveys to inform the improvement of existing services and to help determine future needs for the City and the community. Previous survey reports are available.
Public policy market research firm ETC Institute is helping to conduct the survey to ensure that the survey is completed according to best practices and the City draws prudent conclusions from the data.
Resident Feedback Opportunities
While the resident survey has a specific scope to achieve representative citywide results of statistical significance, the City always encourages feedback from residents. Residents can submit or track requests on City services through Alex311.
