Project Description

The City of Alexandria is pursuing a combined sewer repair project to address sewer back-ups following wet weather events.
 
The project will include:

  • Increasing the size of existing sewer pipes in the intersection of Madison Street and North Saint Asaph Street to provide additional system capacity,  
  • Installing new curb inlets to improve drainage, and  
  • Relocating existing the sewer line on Madison Street to provide better drainage.

Project Budget: $500,000

Design Update

Design of the Madison Street and North St. Asaph Street Sewer Replacement project is complete. Construction procurement is anticipated to be complete by Summer 2024.
