Project Description
The City of Alexandria is working to address flooding near the intersection of E. Alexandria Avenue and E. Luray Avenue. The City is currently investigating the factors contributing to flooding due to storm water and reviewing potential local drainage system enhancements that could be made to reduce the frequency and severity of floods.

Sponsor Program
This project is being implemented as part of the Flood Action Alexandria program. The City of Alexandria launched Flood Action Alexandria - a multipronged program to help address flooding issues in our community - in Spring 2021 in response to more frequent intense, climate-change-induced storm events.
