Meeting with your client or pretrial counselor? Going to the Magistrate's Office? Whatever your reason for visiting, if you are driving to the Sheriff’s Office and Detention Center (2001-2003 Mill Road) for the first time, be sure to pay close attention on Mill Road.

As soon as you turn onto Mill Road from Eisenhower Avenue, prepare to stay to the right. The road becomes two lanes, with the right lane going to the Sheriff’s Office and Detention Center and the left lane becoming an interstate ramp to the Beltway. If you take the ramp, you will not be able to exit until you are in Maryland.

Stay to the right on Mill Road and follow the signs to the Sheriff’s Office and Detention Center. The road ends in front of the Sheriff’s Office, and there are parking spaces on the street and visitor parking under the interstate ramp.

Also note that there is no public access to the Public Safety Center via Hooff's Run Drive. If GPS directs you to Hooff's Run Drive or Truesdale Drive, turn around and drive to Mill Road.
