Update 3/14/2016: A follow-up Community Meeting on Park Lighting is scheduled for March 21, 2016, 6:30 p.m. at Beverley Hills Methodist Church, 3512 Old Dominion Blvd.  Alexandria Police Department Crime Prevention Unit will be available to answer questions.  Additional information about lighting costs will be provided at the meeting and posted here.

          -Saturday, November 14, 2014 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
          -Wednesday, November 19, 2014 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.  AND 4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
The Open House is open to the public and attendees may drop in during these times.  Staff and community members will be available to answer questions and take your feedback about the plans.  Light refreshments will be available.  In the event of heavy rain or other inclement weather, the Open House will be cancelled and re-scheduled.

Review the Slope Stabilization alternatives here.  The existing slopes on east and south sides of the existing playground are an integral component of the park.  These slopes are currently eroded and are supported by deteriorating wood retaining walls.  A study was conducted this spring to look at options to address the slope conditions.  Alternatives include new retaining walls or a naturalized slope.  Tell us which alternative you prefer by completing the Park Renovation Survey.
